Industrial Flow Solutions was formed in 2017 to design, manufacture, sell, and service highly effective pumping and fluid management solutions for harsh, rugged environments.

Managing water, wastewater, and other fluids is required in almost every commercial and industrial operation, from dewatering construction or mine sites to pumping caustic washdown runoff in food and beverage production to ensuring uninterrupted commercial sewage flow.

Served industries include construction, food & beverage, industrial and commercial wastewater, mining, municipal wastewater, oil & gas, power generation, and other industrial customers.

Stancor, L.P., has more than 30 years of experience providing innovative pumping solutions for a variety of demanding applications. Stancor’s comprehensive product portfolio serves a variety of markets including construction, industrial processing, utilities and wastewater. Stancor is best known for their leadership position in underground coal mining with their MSHA-certified pumps. Their popular Oil Minder® product is an industry leader for sensing oil or water, and pumping only water without harmful hydrocarbons contaminating the environment. Stancor operates from Monroe, Connecticut and Prospect, Connecticut.

Brian Comiskey

Chief Operating & Technical Officer

Brian joined Industrial Flow Solutions in 2017 to provide technical and operational leadership to the portfolio. He brings strengths in strategic M&A buildout, new product development, operations, and supply chain management.

Prior to joining Industrial Flow Solutions, Brian held senior leadership roles with the fluid controls businesses of Parker Hannifin and IDEX, as well as holding several engineering and technology positions with Amerigon, which has since become Gentherm.

Brian earned a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Material Science from the University of Connecticut.

John Louer

Vice President of Sales

John provides senior level commercial leadership and experience in formulating profitable business line strategies in the manufacturing industry that consistently deliver top line revenue growth. John’s broad knowledge base includes strategic planning, business line management, sales leadership, 80/20 analysis and global business development.

Prior to joining Industrial Flow Solutions, John held senior leadership roles with IDEX Corporation, Parker Hannifin, Ryan Herco Flow Solutions and Iwaki America.

John earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from California State University – Fullerton.

Patrick Painter

Chief Financial Officer

Patrick provides financial and administrative functional leadership with expertise in commercial and operational finance, controllership and analytics.

Prior to joining Industrial Flow Solutions, Patrick spent 18 years at Procter & Gamble (P&G). He started his career at P&G as a manufacturing plant Process Engineer and finished with $1 Billion+ Finance Leadership roles in the US and Asia, his most recent as Finance Head of P&G’s $2.5 billion U.S. Drug Channel.

Patrick earned his MBA from The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. He also earned dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Engineering and Economics from the University of Missouri-Rolla.

Brad Sterner

Executive Chairman

Brad provides board level leadership to Industrial Flow Solutions and partners with senior management to identify and execute medium and near-term priority initiatives. His strong reputation for global business leadership, platform business start-ups, business unit turnarounds, product development and global vertical market expansion contributes to his success as a business strategist.

Brad also serves as CEO of May River’s Hunt Valve business which manufactures severe duty valves, actuators, and components for applications that include primary metals, energy, process and US Navy nuclear-powered vessels. Prior to joining May River Capital, Brad spent nearly 20 years as an operational and commercial leader with Emerson, Danaher, IDEX, Rexnord and Colfax including working with European and Asian operations. He brings extensive financial and operational experience in leading private equity companies and blue-chip multinational corporations.

Brad earned his MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. He is also a Certified Public Accountant with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Indiana University Bloomington.

Chris Stevens

Chief Executive Officer

Chris provides chief executive leadership with an exceptional track record of transforming operational and commercial strategy to enhance top- and bottom-line performance. Chris’s broad expertise includes strategic planning, M&A including post-merger integration, product management, B2B marketing, sourcing, supply chain management, and engineering.

Prior to joining Industrial Flow Solutions, Chris held senior leadership roles with Honeywell International, Tyco International, Pentair plc, Fischer Scientific, Westinghouse Electric Company, and McKinsey & Company. He brings a strong global perspective with experience living and working in Europe and Australia as well as the US.

Chris earned his MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, and also earned a Master of Engineering degree from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University.
